In 1995 a group of doctors and professionals (architects, hospital technicians etc.) leaded by Somali doctor Abdulcadir decided to create COMSED following Dr. Abdul’s idea to work in order to improve Africa health conditions especially focusing on Somalia as his homeland.
COMSED contributed to such dream through projects aiming at mother and child health care increase in East Africa and Somalia.
COMSED mainly works on socio-sanitary field in developing countries.

In 2003 an international conference was held by COMSED in Nairobi.
