Curriculum

In 1995 a group of doctors and professionals (architects, hospital technicians etc.) leaded by Somali doctor Abdulcadir decided to create COMSED following Dr. Abdul’s idea  to work in order to improve Africa health conditions especially focusing on Somalia as his homeland.

COMSED contributed to such dream through projects aiming at mother and child health care increase in East Africa and Somalia.

COMSED mainly works on socio-sanitary field in developing countries.

Galkayo City, Mudug Region, Puntland State- Somalia
1995-1996 Outpatients clinic
1997-2002 Galkayo Medical Centre hospital specialized on  mother and child health care
2002-2004 Extension work of the hospital in order to create a new  ward
2004-2005 Opening of educational centre construction specialized on  distance learning for paramedical staff.

Education on developing countries
2000-2002 Galkayo, three professional training courses for women empowerment

Education for development
2002-2004 Series of conferences held in different nations focusing on FGM issue.
Locations: Italy (schools and universities), New York, Nairobi, hospitals and clubs.
In 2003 an international conference was held by COMSED  in Nairobi.
Dr. Abdulcadir Mohamud Giama together with Dr. Pat Johnson (EU); Dr. Mila Font (EU); Piero Emanuele Franceschetti (APS NGO italiana); Dr. May Choong (UNHCR); Dr. M. Abshir Waldo (RRC/COMSED) discussed  “FGM and physical and psychophysical violence on Somali women: prevention and care” .
